ADMISSIONS CRITERIA
The Royal Care Home admits male and female clients over the age of 65, who require personal care. The Royal Care Home does not accept clients with nursing needs or significant mental health problems. The maximum number of service users who can be accommodated is 28.
Day care and short to long-term residency are welcomed.
A pre-admission assessment will be carried out to make sure the Care Home can cater for all of the residents needs. The suitability of the admission will be discussed with the resident and their family / representative(s) if appropriate.
Emergency admissions will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances, where the health or safety of the Service User is under threat, and normally only through a professional referrer such as Social Services. In this event, the suitability of the proposed Service User will be discussed with the professional referrer to ensure that the needs match the services offered, and the normal pre-admission assessment will be carried out within 48 hours of admission.
